Teaching the ABC's and 1-2-3's to Life, Anonymous

Before I came to the Full-Time Training in Anaheim (FTTA), I taught elementary-age school children. As my students excelled in math and reading, I rejoiced, but I was also dismayed. Although these skills will make them successful in life, they will not be the source of inner peace and happiness in life. I wanted to teach them how to enjoy the Lord. In all my 26 years meeting with the local church, I have never enjoyed the Lord as much as I do now in the FTTA. The secret to living the Christian life is to call on the name of the Lord in every time and in every place. “He who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Acts 2:21). In His name we get all that He islove, patience, forbearance, endurance, joy, peace, and we experience Him as the reality of everything positive in our life. Every time I lose my patience, am sad, am physically tired, or restless I call, “O Lord Jesus!” and He fills me with all that He is and meets my every need.
